  1. DO not buy a home here, the neighborhood is nice but the HOA is an abomination. Between the crusade against the pets and the problems with parking the HOA are trying to make The highlands a gated community when it is not.

  2. Hey, Justin. I can understand your frustration. My best advice to a buyer is to know the covenants, rules, and restrictions before purchasing a home in a given neighborhood. For some folks, the rules are unfair. Others like being in a neighborhood with strict covenants.

In your situation, I would recommend trying to get involved in leadership of the association. Maybe you can help make a change for the better!

    Good luck!
