Branson Housing Market Shows Increase in October

The October numbers have been calculated, and it appears that for a second month in a row, sales levels of Branson real estate have exceeded the previous year’s levels. October 2008 had 108 homes sold, while 122 homes closed in October of 2009. The average sale price was almost exactly the same, and homes were selling at 95% of listing price, on average. However, the average listing price was about 5.5% less than October of last year.

Branson home sales show increase in October 2009

Inventory levels of homes for sale in Branson and surrounding areas are near the same levels as 2008, but the average listing has been on the market 25% longer than the average 2008 listing.

Despite the increased number of sales, it is still a buyer’s market. There are plenty of foreclosures still coming on the market and there are more than enough motivated sellers out there.
